Express tunnel car wash closing checklist

A close is judged by the morning. Everything here exists so the opening walk finds the wash the way it was left, and so anything that broke at 7pm is not discovered at 6am.
Adapt it to your own equipment and chemistry. It is a starting point, not safety advice or a substitute for your manufacturer's instructions.
Closing the lane
- Last car through and the lane closed
- Gates down, entrance signage switched
- Pay stations closed outSettle the batch before the equipment goes down, not after.
Tunnel shutdown
- Tunnel flushed and rinsed downChemistry left sitting overnight is what eats the brushes.
- Brushes and wraps left in the parked position
- Belt and correlator clear of debris
- Pits and trenches checked, cleaned out if needed
- Anything damaged photographed before you leavephotoThe photo is worth more tonight than the description is tomorrow.
Chemicals, water and air
- Chemical drums secured and the room locked
- Levels logged for tomorrow's orderreading
- Air compressor drained
- Water shut off where your setup calls for it
Grounds and security
- Vac stalls emptied, hoses coiled
- Bins emptied and the lot walked
- Cameras up and recording
- Cash pulled and the building locked
The handoff
